Starkside Guesthouse

A family in the Mt Tabor neighborhood wanted to build a guesthouse for grandparents to live in part of the year. The design wraps around an existing garage, and takes cues from the character of the original building. A generous bedroom suite on the ground floor opens to the wooded backyard. The living and dining areas on the second level feel spacious and well-lit with vaulted ceilings and skylights. The deck off of the kitchen allows for al fresco dining, and a place for kids to play while meals are made.
